Asia Investment Banking Conference

Information has been received on "Asia Investment Banking Conference (AIBC) 2009", an event initiated by students of the London School of Economics (LSE) and Singapore Management University (SMU). This 2-day conference will be held on 23-24 September 2009 in Singapore, at the SMU campus.

The AIBC is focused on the financial services industry, specifically investment banking, in the Asian market. The program will consist of keynote speeches, interactive workshops and discussion panels conducted by reputable senior speakers.

Keynotes specifically will be delivered by Richard Campbell-Breeden (Head of Asia M&A Goldman Sachs), Glenn Schiffman (Head of Asia-Pacific Investment Banking Nomura), Matthew Hanning (Head of Asia-Pacific Investment Banking UBS), Anthony Steains (Senior MD The Blackstone Group), and two other very senior representatives from Temasek Holdings and JPMorgan. Other institutions that will be represented at the event include - Lazard, Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, The Carlyle Group, Linklaters, Clifford Chance, PwC, Ernst and Young, Oaktree Capital, Bain Capital and McKinsey and Co. The conference will be covered by recognisable international media such as the FT, Bloomberg and CNBC.

Many of the prominent universities from the UK will be taking such an approach, officially sending a group of students to represent the school, seeing as it is likely to clash with term time. Thus far, these schools include Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial, UCL and Bristol.

More information can be found on the website - www.lsesmu-aibc.com

Please apply through the website. If you would send an email to whks.cpt@gmail.com notifying us your application, a discount price of SGD80 would be offered exclusively to Warwick Students instead of the normal price SGD100.

However please be noted that TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY THE ORGANIZERS. Participants would have to make their own arrangements.

Deadline for application is 1 August 2009.

Should you have any queries, please send an email to whks.cpt@gmail.com.

Moreover, the nomination of the CPT members 09-10 will be announced very soon. Please join the CPT facebook group for more information.

Best Regards,
WHKS exec.
