Nonpareil Passion and Motives Getting actively involved in various WHKS events this year, including the highlighted V-Show production; I have developed a strong interest in the society and its work. What is WHKS for? There would not be an official answer, I guess. The interpretation of WHKS depends on individual. With what I have experienced, it is all about achieving a fruitful university life in a foreign environment, getting prepared for our future while enjoying the last stage of being a student before we face the reality of taking up true responsibility for life. Participating in the activities aspires me to serve all the other members of the society with the unparallel experience I gained this year. I am truly passionate about what I commit to. Promoting the idea of a society in a group of student who share the same vision and passion with me has fuelled me to run for the Vice President of WHKS.

  • Coordinate committee members in order to create harmonic and efficient working environment
  • Fully utilize CPT as a platform for members to raise the awareness of future prospectus

    • V-Show 2009 Marketing Team – generating ideas for advertisements, sourcing sponsorships
    • V-Show 2009 Drama Team – acting, assisting in script writing
    • Shogun Burger DJ on probation – building up self esteem in public speaking
    • School Play Backstage Crew – working well as a team member
    • Young Enterprise Managing Director – leadership role in a team, our company made into the area final
    • Gold Duke of Edinburg Award - challenging experience and hardship of exploring and living with nature broadened my horizons
    • Japanese Speech Award Helper – organizing a cultural experiencing and exchange camp in Japan every summer for high school students from different countries, working in a Japanese speaking environment
    • Champion in Hong Kong High School Student Japanese Speech Contest – representing Hong Kong to compete in the world contest
    • F.5 Graduation Show Producer – pulling passionate students together and performing for the whole school
    • School Choir Committee Member and Parts Leader – being delegated responsibilities, getting along with other members
    Out-Reaching
    • Collaboration with other societies such as Chisoc/OPS/WoC in order to create broader connection with other members in the university
    • Raising profile of WHKS among Hong Kong students through creating innovative events
    • More effective and flexible committee board system by improving communication among members
    • Reinforce mentorship programme to increase bonding between members
